Lynn Power, Masami | I’m not going to be a different type of leader than I truly am - I’m going to be me, but with enough self-awareness to pivot and evolve

Lynn Power was a tremendously successful CEO in advertising, leading Arnold in NYC. Now, she’s in a totally different world, running a mission-driven haircare company called Masami.

Years of advertising experience equipped her with leadership skills applicable in any context. She has remained true to herself despite the massive change of moving to a start-up. This balance between staying true to yourself and being intellectually flexible is hugely important in any business.

“I’ve always believed in empowering people to do what they do best. Sometimes what they think they do best isn’t what they do best… so as a leader, you need to illuminate the truth and then don’t micromanage - let them go!”
