Paul Neuman, Neuman’s Kitchen | Learn to truly be with your customers - and yourself - with your heart
Paul Neuman founded his food company 40 years ago. It grew to over 90 employees and became a beloved caterer in New York and Philadelphia. When COVID-19 struck in March, his team shrunk to just 2. His entire business imploded.
He took stock of Neuman’s Kitchen’s core strengths and realized that above all, they are great at making food with love and forging emotional connections through that food. He re-imagined his company as a food delivery company. Even though the logistics would change, Neuman’s Kitchen would still be leveraging its core strengths. So would Paul.
He doesn’t call himself the Chief Executive Officer; he calls himself the Chief Inspiration Officer because he knows he is better at relationship building than logistics. Paul knows who he is, he knows who his company is, and he knows who his customers are. The threads that tie them all together are food and love. He leans into the emotional connection food creates in his marketing - in his sales - and in his leadership. People feel it.
“We make emotional connections using food since food is as intimate as virtually anything you can buy. We want people to feel something about us… not just think something about us.”
