Rob Dube, ImageOne | Building a Culture of Kindness and Transparency

Rob Dube and his longtime friend Joel are Co-CEOs of ImageOne, a managed printing company that helps companies with document workflows. They have been running the company for 30 years.

Working as Co-CEOs is challenging. Rob and Joel have to always mindfully cultivate that relationship to keep the business going seamlessly. Rob takes the lead in building a work culture of kindness and transparency. One of the ways they do is their open finances approach: everyone knows how much everyone else makes. The company must now justify why people make what they make, instead of leaving everyone wondering whether compensation is far. 

Their transparency culture also allows them to do mindful transitions that help team members who are not comfortable in their roles move on to other companies or careers gracefully. Rob is hoping to grow his company through acquisitions and bring that mindful culture to the acquired companies.
